Last Updated October 30, 2002 On May 26, 2001 we were staying in Essex and visited Blake Hall, near Ongar where there was a Craft Fair. We then went to Greensted which has the World's oldest wooden Church and Europe's oldest wooden building (which implies the world's oldest wooden building is not a church and is outside Europe -- any guesses?) It is also the subject of a Lilliput Lane model.
